A cosmos revolved around a single burst of divulging, impulsive glow, of desires and visions held so preciously by a less tainted Self -- a time and age when a Realm broader than Nightsky still sheltered your four seasons, yet so easily summonable behind your eyelids, never truly fargone from your heart, wherever the Journey of a different Self have carried you -- for you are chained to that single, glowing point above, to that fiery tongue of joy and its aching bloom, leaving its mark along your meandering, neverending sojourn, past and beyond.
Formed by the former Stortregn vocalist/guitarist Romain Negro, Apolaustic embodies the most ruministic corner of his imagination -- both artistic and personal. Epic, unconstrained, ferocious throughout yet deeply melancholic, Apolaustic’s debut, No Plenitude Without Suffering, hence bores various unnamed but geniune emotions into the skeleton of Meldoic Black/Death Metal. Rather than relying on cheap formulas, the flowing melodies and harmonics presented here possess a power synonymous of Worldbuilding: every passage and transition, both vocals and instrumentation, acquires the breadth and texture of a World-like scenery, tracing, as the album progresses towards its closure, Its ephermeral and evershifting contour of longing and death.
Pest Productions will release the official cassette version of this Modern Melodic Black/Death Metal masterpiece this September.
