Cloven is a dark avant-garde, black metal, and classical guitar project hailing from Canada. This conceptual EP dives into the eternal tango of duality, of light and shadow, of humanity and love. At its heart lie the voices and dreams of John Gneisenau Neihardt, Dylan Thomas, and Robert Crawford, bound together by three movements of heartwrenching chants in the Polish tongue, including words of Helena Wanda Błażusiakówna.
Tactfully interweaving neoclassical ambient and evocative dissonance, Cloven’s debut EP will drag you through a meditation so fragile yet luxuriant, like a lucid dream whose warmth is the silence emitted when two hearts are parting.
