Erech Leleth (Ancient Mastery and many more) is probably one of the most prolific and versatile artists from today’s German scene: from utterly grandiose Epic BM/Heavy Metal extravaganza to melancholic waters of Atmospheric BM and blackgaze, the prowess of the later can be found in full bloom in Summer Haze '99’s debut from last year, titled Inevitable. A new project of Erech that combines and perfectly captures the essence of post-black metal, melodic hardcore, and some intoxicating tinges of dream pop, Inevitable is a heartfelt and insanely consistent dialogue of loss, love, and hope: from cathartic surges of intricate riffs to silky and mellow female chants handled by Anouk Madrid, almost every track has certain shining moments that listener would return to and try to relive some sensation it’s first evoked. One of those magic albums where all fans of the above-mentioned genres would find joy and solace of their own.
